OM JI ( AMIT RAINA)

Meditation and yoga philosophy teacher, currently serving as the director of KSSOY, carries forward his rich family lineage as a Kashmiri Pandit. Born in the Himalayan region of Kashmir, his  grand father was disciple of Swami Ram Ji who is from the lineage of Abninavagupta . His mother Krishna holds a masters degree in Sanskrit and father Dwarka Nath is a great follower of lord Shiva, having interest in spirituality from young age, he grew around great shaivite masters. Knowing that there is more to life than what you see with your eyes and what you perceive with your mind,he started practicing meditation and yoga from young age. In the city of Pune while working as an Engineer in a deep meditation he had a strong vision after which he left the comforts of his life and traveled all over the Himalayas and stayed in various ashrams. 

He is graduated from Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, in the sacred city of Haridwar at the faculty of Oriental Studies where he studied the traditional philosophy of Hatha yoga ,Asana ,pranayama and Shatkarmas, then he went to Bihar School of Yoga in Munger and receive the certificate in Yogic Studies, were he studied Satyananda yoga, Yoga Nidra , Practice Karma Yoga & Jnana Yoga

He is certified by the late B.K.S Iyengar as an Iyengar Yoga teacher,were he learnt body alignment, the proper use of props, correct postures and pranayams ,Om Ji in the last years has been practicing and sharing part of his cultural background of Kashmir Shaivism philosophy and meditation path in his family lineage. known for his compassionate approach to teaching students of all physical and mental conditions .He also studied Tantra and various scriptures at the feet of various masters to whom he bows his head with deep respect and practicing the meditations as prescribed by the scriptures of Agamas and Hatha yoga. Amit also hold studies in different aspects of energetic holistic healing.

He has incorporate the wisdom of Kashmir Shaivism with the practices of yoga and has been teaching yoga through out the world, at the same time knowing the importance of his heritage he is spreading the real meaning of tantra. As an experienced international teacher and father . Amit balances his deep commitment with his family & yoga community with the journey across diverse cultures and regions

LINA MA

Anthropologist and educator with extensive experience teaching at the Kashmir Shaivism School of Yoga.

Lina serves as lead trainer and co-director of the RPYS ( Registered prenatal yoga) and RCYS  teacher trainings programs accredited by Yoga Alliance, and as co-lead teacher in the RYT 200 and RYT 300 programs at the Kashmir Shaivism School of Yoga, where she continues to deepen her academic, pedagogical, and spiritual path.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Lina holds a degree in anthropology and she has been consistently devoted to both the practice and teaching of yoga, her background includes studies in Pune, India, at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI), where she was directly certified by B.K.S. Iyengar. During this period, she also had the opportunity to study with Geeta S. Iyengar until her passing. 

She currently teaches at the foot hills of the Himalayas  & Internationally,   physiology with an anthropological perspective of the Eastern sciences.

In parallel, She accompanies prenatal and postnatal journeys as a mother-doula, drawing not only from her professional training but also from her lived experience as a mother, her own home birth and lotus birth, she specialized as a soul and grief doula supporting processes of loss, transition, and integration both online and in person. She is also the founder of the project Dhātrī– Bosque de Agua, located in Iguaque, South America and works with sound therapy , as well she’s is certified from Swami Vivekananda ( S-Vyasa) in Bangalore, India and holds certifications in Ayurveda, with specialized training in Shirodhara, Marma therapy, and Abhyanga, also certified in Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga, leads training programs for children, youth, and families.  

 

Lina has studied Oriental sciences for several years and has devoted her life to living and learning within diverse cultures across India and South America, integrating traditional practices with lived experience as an embodied living research. As part of her graduate work  at the department  of Human Sciences, she collaborated with Indigenous communities in the Colombian rainforest, writing articles on ancestral medicine and social situation, and contributing as a cultural researcher to educational projects. Her experience includes collaboration  with physiotherapists and Indigenous midwives, bridging somatic knowledge, traditional medicine, and community-based care.

She brings 26 years of sādhana rooted in a living lineage, and over 16 years of living for extended periods in India, weaving together practice, scholarship, motherhood, and cross-cultural experience into an integrated path of teaching and service.

KRISHNA CHALLO

From Kashmiri Pandit tradition Krishna is a Sanskrit scholar and guest faculty of KSSOY; she is a graduate in Sanskrit and has masters in Hindi and Master in education from the University of kashmir 

Having teaching experience of over 40 years , Krishna guide our lead teachers in linguistic pronunciation Sanskrit and in Bhakti Yoga chants 

DR SINGH

He is a Physician (MBBS, MD) from the Government College of medical Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana, , and specializes in neurology Dr Rothas  supports KSSOY in medical advice
