For the ones who wish to stay very near the beach Ivons Guest House ( 10 minutes from the School) and around 800 -900 rupees per night- doubled bed attached bathroom with hot shower and balcony- is a good and still affordable option .See image of the yellow room . for a more budget and still comfortable accommodation Vasu Guest House ( building image) and Rajshree Guest House which are next to the school for 500 rupees daily.
You have the option to stay for few days in the above guest houses and once you are here you can explore different options in Arambol as most lodging places provide all the facilities ( shower, double bed) some have fully equipped kitchens,balcony facing the sea, simple houses in the woods behind the beach. There are guest houses for all budgets,restaurants, travel agencies (handling foreign exchange), Internet and other services along the road leading to the northern end of the beach and a few stores in the village
ARAMBOL
Yoga enthusiastic who are looking forward to visit India for yoga teacher training in Goa must know a following things about Arambol before starting the journey. The Arambol Beach located 50 kms from Panaji in North Goa can be approached by a winding road through the groove of cashew trees. It is a rocky as well as sandy beach and has a fresh water lagoon which extends along the bottom of the valley into a thick jungle
The Arambol Beach extends over 16 km and consists of two beaches, more popular is the main beach (Harmal beach), the northern most beach in Goa . The second, beach lies beyond the rocky circlet and can only be reached on foot and is bordered by steep cliffs on both sides. The main beach is long stretch of curving sand is good for swimming.
The cliffs near the beaches are popular for paragliding and wild dolphin watching boat trips. Adjacent to the beach a few shops sell clothes, handicrafts from across Goa and India. Some good cafes along the main beach and on the headland to the north cater tasty delicacies from the cuisine of Around the world
The large and sprung out Arambol village near the seashore Arambol is quiet and friendly, with local fishing men.
HOW TO GET TO GOA
Air : Goa’s international airport, Dabolim, is 29 km from the capital Panaji. Indian Airlines has direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai daily. 45 Min from Arambol
Rail : Goa’s two main stations are at Margao and Vasco da Gama. Vasco-da-Gama and Margoa are connected by train with Bangalore, Belgaum, Hospet and Hyderabad and via Miraj to Bombay, Delhi and Agra.
Road: Goa is well connected by NH17A with Maharashtra and Karnataka state. There are regular bus services to Mumbai, Bangalore, Hampi and other destinations from the Kadamba bus stand at Panaji. There are buses available frequently from Panjim and Arambol
HOW TO REACH ARAMBOL & TO THE SCHOOL

Buses from Mapusa stop on the main road at Arambol , where there’s a church, a school and a few shops. From here, follow the road about 1.5km through the village to get to the main road down to the beach.( to reach to the Yogaschool instead of go down to the beach continue folllow the road after see other white church then turn to the right ,pass double dutch restaurant which you can ask for as is a well know spot and opposite and few steps forward is our Yogshala)

Goa features a tropical monsoon climate, being in the tropical zone and near the Arabian Sea, Located in South West India in the region known as the Konkan, it is bounded by the state of Maharashtra to the north, and by Karnataka to the east and south, while the Arabian Sea forms its western coast
Goa has a short winter season between mid-December and February from these months are marked by cool nights with temperatures of about 20″C (68″F) and warm days of about 29″C (84″F). Humidity remains in moderate amounts. The nights are a few degrees cooler further inland, due to latitudinal gradation.
